Almost Christmas!

I won't be home for Christmas, and it won't be a "white" one for me, because I'll be in the Philippines, which has 1 in a trillion chances of getting snow by the 25th.

"No DS Oath"

On this day, December 7, 2004, I pledged not to get a Nintendo DS, at least for the next 5-6 years. My reasons?

1. Nintendo ****ed up one of my most anticipated games for the DS, Pokemon Dash. The cover seemed to show plenty of playable Pokemon, and it seemed to be a creative game, but my hopes for this gamewere shot down when it turned out that Pikachu is the only playable Pokemon, and that the others were just computer controlled drones. Good job, Nintendo, for being so anal about playable Pokemon. Two 'chus in SSBM, and now this.

2. While Super Mario 64 DS looks very appealing with all the new features, playable characters, levels, and minigames, the original Mario 64 is good enough for me (for now.) Besides, they say the control isn't as good as the original, due to the lack of an analog control stick.

3. I think it's about time for me to retire from gaming (for a while.) My life is not in the most perfect condition, and depriving myself of a DS will help me concentrate on improving myself.
